It all began in 2019, in the least romantic setting imaginable—work. Maria, always the one to bring a bit of sparkle to the office, caught Omar’s attention right away. They were both burning the midnight oil, working all night, when Maria, possibly in need of a caffeine fix, asked Omar if he wanted to come to Dubai to meet up.
